The latest reading pointed to the slowest expansion in services activity since September 2012 and was also well below its long-term average of 54.4. A PSI reading above 50 points indicates services activity is expanding; below 50 indicates it is contracting. The main PMI and sub-index results are seasonally adjusted. A higher than expected reading should be taken as positive/bullish for the NZD , while a lower than expected reading should be taken as negative/bearish for the NZD.
